BSTU/QSTU - TDM & Ethernet leased lines over SDHSL.BIS
Product Overview
The BSTU and QSTU product families enable network operators to transport Ethernet and TDM traffic over one or two copper wire-pairs. The termination units can be used in the access network or in any point-to-point application. The underlaying technology is SHDSL.bis and various interfaces for nx64 kbit/s, 2 Mbit/s or Fast Ethernet user traffic are available.
BSTU - SHDSL.bis Termination Units
The BSTU offers professional solutions for the delivery of business voice and data services with bandwidths up to 11,4 Mbit/s by using the SHDSL (Single pair Highspeed Digital Subscriber Line) technology according to ITU-T G.991.2. With its modular design and wide range of interfaces the BSTU is a very flexible solution, that can be used to meet specific customer requirements. The BSTU also includes a self learning Layer-2 switch with VLAN transparency.
QSTU - Quad- SHDSL.bis Termination Units
The QSTU is a SHDSL termination unit equipped with 4 SHDSL interfaces and (depending on the operating mode) up to 4 autonomous G.703 subscriber interfaces, enabling an ULAF+ subrack to host up to 64 2 Mbit/s lines.
